Having more free time than I'd care to admit, I've dabbled in many hobbies over the years. When I was younger, I was really into magic. At the time, I really considered magic as a career, but with today's economy it might not exactly work out. I've lost a lot of the skill I used to have but I dabble from time to time. So if you see me around, I'll definitely try and do a trick for ya! I used to be really into cooking, although I don't do it as much any more I still am thankful that I have the skill for when I move out in a few months time (holy where did the time go). If magic wasn't nerdy enough for you, I also occasionally speed-solve Rubik's Cubes. I have an average time of 30 seconds but I'm sure if I practiced enough I could get the time down (straight up flexing). Believe it or not, I have a pretty large collection of "twisty puzzles", and it never fails to impress family and friends. But somehow, it doesn't seem to phase some of my female acquaintances. I suppose this is a mystery modern science will never unveil.

Music is also a substantial part of my life. I've been playing and singing for about 5 years now, and it's been nothing but a positive experience. I used to be a really shy and sheltered guy, and I feel that music has given me a sense of confidence that I would not have without it. I do work professionally as a musician, and I am incredibly blessed to have a great group of individuals who have helped me progress as a musician and a human being. I plan on perusing music at a post secondary level in September with a goal of teaching music at some level. I would love to teach because I want the opportunity to spread the gift that made a positive change in my life. If I could change just one life for the better, I'd feel like I've accomplished my goal.
